Testimonials: Sue Hyde

Sue Hyde is one of the most veteran organizers and activists in the Massachusetts LGBT equality community, having worked to secure marriage equality, repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and sodomy laws, and secure civil rights for all LGBT couples and their families. In 2004, she and her wife of over 25 years became the second couple to be legally married in the country when they wed shortly after 12:01 AM at the Cambridge City Hall on May 17th. Sue currently directs the annual Creating Change conference with the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.
